Family messages that need a reply, on iPhone.
Need a hand, want to report something, or have a question about your data?
Email tplisk@gmail.com. Reply Required is built and run by one person, so
replies come from the developer directly, usually within a few days.
How do I…
- Set up our family?
- One parent signs in with Apple or Google and taps Create family. On the Family screen, tap + to Invite a parent (they sign in with their own Apple or Google account and tap Join family with the code) or Add a child.
- Add my child?
- Tap +, then Add a child, type their name and tap Create code. On your child's phone, open Reply Required, tap Joining as a child? Enter your family code and type it in. Your child doesn't need an email address or an account of their own. The code works on one phone.
- Choose which apps pause?
- First set a Parent passcode on the Family screen. Then, on your child's phone, open Pause settings, enter the passcode, and choose the apps together. The list stays on your child's phone; we never see which apps were chosen. Only those apps pause. Everything else on the phone keeps working.
- Send a message that needs a reply?
- Write your message and mark it as needing a reply. Your child's chosen apps pause until they open Reply Required and answer, and they come right back as soon as they do. You can also give chores the same way; the apps come back once the chores are checked off.
- My child's apps didn't pause, or didn't come back.
- Pausing works when your child's phone is online and Screen Time permission is on for Reply Required. Opening the app on your child's phone brings everything up to date. On your side, your child's page shows whether their apps are paused right now and when their phone was last seen. If it still looks wrong, email us.
- Report a message or block someone?
- Touch and hold a message to report it. Reports go to your family's organizer (the parent who created the family); a parent's report also comes to the developer. A parent can also block another parent there. You can always email the address above too.
- Delete a child's account?
- The parent who created the family opens the child's page and taps Delete account. It permanently deletes the child's account and everything that belongs to it, including their messages, and it can't be undone. A child who wants their account deleted can ask a parent, or email us.
- Delete my account?
- Open Account and tap Delete account. This deletes your Pliske ID, which you share with this developer's other apps, and cannot be undone. If you created the family, the whole family is deleted too, including every child's account and data. If you can't get into the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll do it within 7 days. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's removed.
